Professional Version

The professional version has the full functionality and has no size limitation. Users have two options when buying the professional version: A Stand Alone version protected by a HASP USB key. A Network version protected by a HASP USB key. It allows multiple users to use PSIM simultaneously over a network.

Standard Version     for INDUSTRY

The Standard Version is limited to 60 elements. It is available in the stand-alone version only. Some functions are disabled in the Standard Version: c-script block, power modelling block, embedded software block, general DLL block. The SimCoupler Module, Thermal Module, MagCoupler Module and MagCoupler-RT Module are not available with this version.

Student Version     for EDUCATION

Similar to the Standard Version, the Student Version is also limited to 60 elements. The Student Version is available in Soft Key (stand alone) version and Network version. • The Network version is provided with a hasp key. It doesn’t need to be activated through the Internet. • The Student Soft Key version is provided by Internet and needs to be activated through the Internet after the installation. After the software is activated, there is no time limit on the software (the software can run forever as long as it remains activated) and the Internet connection is no longer needed. The activation service is provided for 36 months from the time of purchase (after 36 months, you will still be able to run the software as long as it is already activated). Some functions are disabled in the Student Version: c-script block, power modeling block, embedded software block, general DLL block. The SimCoupler Module, Thermal Module, MagCoupler Module and MagCoupler-RT Module are not available with this version.

Demo Version

The demo version is free. It has the full functionality, with the exception that the subcircuit and library editing functions are disabled. The Demo Version is unrestricted and can be freely copied and distributed. As compared to the professional version, the demo version has the following limitations: • The number of elements in the schematic is limited to 34. • The number of data points is limited to 6,000. for the waveform display program SIMVIEW as well as for the voltage/current scopes and runtime graphs in the PSIM schematic. • The subcircuit function is disabled. • The C Script Block, Power Modeling Block, Embedded Software Block, and General DLL Block, are not available in the demo version. • In the device database editor PcdEditor.exe, new devices can not be added to the database, and chances can not be saved. • In the s-to-z converter program s2z_Converter.exe, conversion of only the integrator and the proportional-integral blocks is allowed. • The MagCoupler-RT Module is disabled.
